Privacy

The short version: Comfy Capy Calories only stores the information it needs to run the app. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't add analytics tracking.

Your account

When you create an account, we store the details you provide, such as your username, first name and email address. We also store the security information needed to keep your account working, including information used for sign-in, email confirmation, password resets and optional two-factor authentication.

Your profile and calorie goals

If you complete your profile, we store the information needed to calculate your calorie estimates and goals. This can include your date of birth, height, weight, calculation sex, activity level, goal, optional goal weight and weekly goal, along with preferences such as your measurement system, calorie target and theme.

Your foods and Diary

Your custom foods, saved meals, favourites and Diary entries are linked to your account. When you log something in your Diary, we keep the nutrition information that applied at the time. This means that editing a food later won't unexpectedly change your previous Diary entries.

Food information from external food databases may be stored by Comfy Capy so it can be reused efficiently. These food records aren't treated as your personal data simply because they appear in a search. Your favourites, saved meals and Diary activity remain linked to your account.

Community Foods

Custom foods stay private unless you choose to submit a copy to Community Foods. Admins review submissions, may rename catalogue entries, and may record a moderation note. Approved food names, nutrition, serving details and aggregate vote scores become available to other users. Your own upvote or downvote is stored against your account. Submitted copies remain separate from your private food. If you delete your account, your votes are deleted and submitted copies remain with your account link removed.

Your Comfy Capy

We store the customisation items available to your account and the appearance you've chosen for your Capy. This lets your Capy stay the way you left them when you come back.

Cookies and browser preferences

Comfy Capy uses cookies that are necessary for features such as signing in, keeping your session secure and protecting forms and requests. A functional timezone cookie lets the app interpret Diary dates, activity days and streaks in your local timezone. We don't add advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

Your browser stores a small number of preferences on this device, including your colour theme, whether macro goals are shown and whether unlocked Achievements are hidden. It also remembers a dismissed development notice for the current browser session. These settings help the interface remember your choices and aren't used for advertising or analytics.

Outside services

Comfy Capy uses external services where they're needed to provide parts of the app. Food searches can use external food-data providers, and our email provider handles transactional emails such as account messages and feedback delivery. Pages also load the Nunito typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's font service.

Anonymous feedback

You can send feedback whether you're signed in or signed out. The feedback form doesn't ask you to identify yourself, so please don't include personal or sensitive information in your message.

Your account settings provide options to download your personal account data or permanently delete your account. If you have a privacy question that isn't answered here, you can use the Feedback page. Please don't include sensitive information in your message.
